Photography Tips
How To Get The Best From
Your Wedding Photographers
1. Book them early. In-demand photographers are book even 1 year in
advance.
2. Check out magazines and websites to define what kind of styles you
like.
3. Ask for referral from married relative or friends. Interact with
other brides online (try joining a forum) and they could point you to
the right direction and help you avoid pitholes at the same time.
4. Get him or her to update you on current demand. Increasingly,
couples are making their wedding albums into a love story.
5. Talk to a few shortlisted photographers. You might want to pick one
who has experience shooting the kind of styles you want. Ask to see
some previous works and check out their pricing and package. Some
photographers will charge you more but in return they throw in more
stuff. On the other hand, a cheaper initial quote could end up very
expensive as you will be tempted to add more pictures as you go.
6. Show him or her your preferred styles and see if they can duplicate
the same results. Get him or her to show you portfolio of something
similar to what you want.
7. Negotiate for your softcopy. Photographers like to withold your
softcopy so they can charge you everytime you want to reprint your
photos. Rely on your bargaining power and charm to strike this deal
which can save you a lot.
8. Still can't decide? Go for a photographer with a good temper and
mannerism because it could get stressful when it comes to getting the
perfect shot. Look for passion in the photographers instead of those
who go hardcore in marketing, try to upsell you and offer more
bargains, however tempting it will be. A passionate photographer takes
pride in his or her work and will go the extra mile to make your photos
more beautiful and elegant.
